Head Chef Paul Ainsworth No.6 John Walton is head chef at Paul Ainsworth at No 6. Growing up in Padstow, he started his career with Rick Stein at The Seafood Restaurant before moving to London and working at Pétrus for three years; this was where he first met Paul Ainsworth. ​​ John has been head chef since June 2008 and plays a major part in shaping the menu, which reflects what is seasonal and local to Padstow and Cornwall. He passes on his wealth of knowledge to the rest of the kitchen team, who benefit from his experience and skills. Paul describes John as the brother he never had.
